From 15 to 17 May 2023, the AMCUC delegation participated in the CannMed congress on Marco Island, Florida, USA. Prof. Rabii Redouane delivered a presentation on Morocco's cannabis legalisation experience — its regulatory advances, governance model, and industrial and therapeutic ambitions — generating significant interest among international participants in the Moroccan market.
In preparation for the congress, the delegation received intensive training on 13 and 14 May in four strategic domains: industry, agriculture, safety testing and medical science. Made up of physicians, pharmacists, researchers and industry stakeholders, the delegation also attended practical workshops and CannMed medical training sessions for clinicians.
This participation confirms AMCUC's position as Morocco's credible representative on the international stage of medical cannabis. Several international players present at the congress expressed interest in cooperation with AMCUC and in potential investment opportunities in Morocco's legal cannabis sector.
